Easy-to-manage, reliable, infrastructure-free cloud backup for SMBs

Many SMBs lose their data because they simply don’t back up. They report that doing so is too time-consuming and expensive and requires specific expertise they don’t have. Historically, such complaints are justified – until now.

Easy-to-start, easy-to-manage, cost-effective and complete data protection is here. Running in the Acronis Cloud, Acronis Backup is a backup as a service solution that delivers advanced cyber protection that’s packaged and priced for small infrastructures.

Cloud Backup That Fits Your Needs

Quick start, no upfront investments

Unlock the advantage of cloud off-site backup with no worries about implementation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.

Easy-to-manage, less IT staff required

Run all of your backup and recovery tasks with almost no training using the touch-friendly Cloud Backup console.

Affordable solution, lower TCO

Avoid capital expenses with a budget-friendly subscription. Your data can be affordably backed up to the Acronis Cloud.

How It Works

By running in the cloud, you avoid adding complexity to your infrastructure as well as a painful setup and execution experience. All you need to do is connect to the Acronis Management Server installed in the Acronis Cloud. Better still, you can easily perform reliable, off-site backup by integrating with Acronis Cloud Storage.

Use Cases

Protect physical and virtual data

Avoid traditional costs and complexity with a single installation and interface for physical and virtual machines alike. Your data is safe no matter what happens locally.

Simplify NAS backup

Automate NAS backup to the Acronis Cloud or any other storage, choosing the best option for you. Customizing backups with various backup types minimizes network usage.

Back up PCs and mobile devices

Secure the data of remote and field employees by protecting any user anywhere. You can back up across all popular mobile platforms, e.g. Windows, iOS, Android devices.

Optimize storage usage

Reduce costs by easily managing your total storage requirements. Protect more systems while reducing the impact on disk-storage and network consumption.

Recover to bare-metal

Boost your recovery time using a complete system image that's ready for reinstallation. It’s easy to restore a full system on a computer with an empty disk drive.

Be safe from ransomware

Guard your IT “borders” by protecting your company’s network shares and removable drives from threats. AI-based technology prevents even zero-day ransomware attacks.

Robust Cloud Features for High Data Availability

Double Protection with Cloud Disaster Recovery

Ensure critical business applications are available when disaster strikes. Cloud failover lets you run from your backups in Acronis Cloud and reliably failback when your servers are active again.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Acronis Backup as a service?

Acronis Backup as a Service is data protection solution available via the Acronis Cloud web-management console. You don't need to invest in hardware as the backup management server is installed in the Acronis Cloud. This design allows remote backup service.

Can I manage the service without an internet connection?

Since the backup management infrastructure is located in the Acronis Cloud, you should have a stable internet connection to access the web-management console and manage and configure backup plans.

Where is backed up data stored?

You can store your data on your local or Acronis Cloud Storage as well as public cloud, such as Azure, AWS, or Google. The Acronis Storage Gateway makes it easy for you to make the selection that’s right for you.

Is cloud storage better than local storage?

With cloud storage, your data is stored off-site, away from your premises. This means that valuable data is secure from any disaster onsite, from human error to natural disasters. Acronis Cloud data centers are certified and secured per the regulations in each geographic region in which they are located – protecting you against everything from the most common hardware failures to ransomware and corruption.

What do I need to do to switch from on-premises to cloud?

To start using cloud, you will need to have Acronis Backup subscription license to access the management console in the Acronis cloud. This new cloud installation will allow you to protect new systems so you will need to configure settings accordingly (i.e. the system will not include your previous on-premises backup configurations.)
