High-speed USB 3.0 external drives can be accessed at full speed in Acronis True Image Home.
Customizable timeouts
Increased program wait time when it stops the operation and waits for your response.
Serial number copy and paste:
Copy your serial number from an email. Then right-click on the Serial number field in the Acronis installer window, and select Paste in the context menu.
Fixed issues
Installation and startup
Acronis True Image Home 2010 cannot start after installation of Acronis Disk Director.
The product can be successfully installed on a machine with Acronis Backup & Recovery Workstation.
The program takes a long time to start if automatic updates are enabled and there is no active Internet connection.
Backup
The folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming is not included in a backup.
The Update option updates the last created archive instead of the selected one in the Restore window.
When you create a backup using bootable media, the exclusion do not work if a path to an excluded object contains backslashes ("\").
The program crashes when you try to back up a mailbox in Microsoft Outlook 2010 x64.
When you click Browse to save an archive to a network share, you cannot edit a path manually: odd characters appear.
Wrong symbols are added to a backup name when you include a backup time into a backup name.
Full backup with the Overwrite the existing archive option enabled does not work: archive location is empty, because a new full backup is not created, and the previous full backup is deleted.
Nonstop Backup
The Nonstop Backup session that has been working during the trial period cannot be launched when the trial period is over and you enter a serial number for a full version.
The Nonstop backup session is interrupted by the Nonstop backup service error.
Online Backup
Computer status icons on the Online backup page display a wrong status for all computers registered in the Online backup storage.
Password to Acronis Online backup service is not saved when the Remember my password option is enabled.
Acronis Online Backup reports numerous timeout errors in a log file even when a backup procedure finishes successfully.
Restore and validation
Resizing of an active system partition does not happen when its backup is restored to the same place.
Backup cannot be validated and restored after you mount it in the write mode and make some changes to it.
A backup of a system volume fails to restore if it has been created with the Exclude system files option enabled.
You want to restore only the selected files from the file backup, but the whole file backup is restored instead.
Validation of a backup from bootable media or an ISO file may fail.
Scheduling
Changing a tasks schedule or editing its settings causes the deletion of an incremental backup chain and the creation of a full backup with further incremental backups.
A full backup to Acronis Secure Zone does not overwrite the previous full backup even when the option A new full backup overwrites the previous one" is enabled.
Scheduled e-mail backup fails if Microsoft Outlook is running.
Acronis Secure Zone
Files and folders from a backup stored in Acronis Secure Zone cannot be copied via Windows Explorer.
Acronis Startup Recovery Manager overwrites previously activated Acronis OS Selector after update.
Incorrect path to a *.tib file is displayed in the Data Recovery and Backup Management window after a *.tib file has been moved from a local volume to Acronis Secure Zone.
Operations with a backup
A backup on a CD is not recognized as a backup file: its name and type is not displayed in the Browse for Location window.
The program crashes when you delete a backup from the Archive location window of the Backup Wizard.
Conversion of .vhd files to .tib does not work.
GUI issues
The Operation progress window shows an odd amount of time that remains to complete such procedures as backup to an Online storage, file backup or One-click restore.
Progress bar in the Operation Progress window for e-mail backups does not work.
Clone Disk and Add New Disk wizards display an incorrect disk layout in disk properties.
The Time Explorer window displays an odd date for a first backup.
Event Log, Try&Decide, Clean-up Tool
Acronis event log viewer on Windows 7 x64 reports errors even though all operations are performed successfully.
When you create an Acronis Bootable CD and include both Acronis True Image Home 2010 and Acronis Disk Director 11 on the same CD, you will get a notice that you are using a demo version of Acronis Disk Director 11.
Try&Decide can be managed from the Guest account, even though it has been launched from the Administrator account.
Some Acronis registry keys are still not deleted from the system after you launch Acronis Clean up tool.
Known issues
There is a conflict between Acronis Nonstop Backup with the Avira antivirus software. This conflict may result in the error message "Operation has been aborted. The item essence is incorrect. Probably metadata in the file archive is corrupted." The message occurs after installing Avira Free AV and restarting the PC. Avira antivirus is the only antivirus program that conflicts with Nonstop Backup. Both companies are working to find a solution. In the meantime, details concerning the status of this problem can be found http://kb.acronis.com/content/16376.
A backup in Acronis Secure Zone is renamed after you have changed its backup scheme and launched the backup task again.
