This document describes the BackupAgent Server 5.0.3 release. This release introduces Server stability and fault tolerance improvements; also a new option ‘Allow user management through Management Console’ is configurable per Group, starting from the 5.0.3 BackupAgent Server release.
This release has fixes for the issues reported by our customers. A number of cosmetic issues have been resolved.

In case this option is disabled, the Administrator only is able to turn it on back. In case ‘Allow user management through Management Console’ is unchecked, the option becomes read-only for the groups.
The ‘Allow user management through Management Console’ setting (enabled by default) appears in the Group Restrictions section for each group during editing; this setting is removed from the ‘Server’ -> ‘Server Settings’ -> ‘Server’ tab.
Be aware that after update to 5.0.3 server, Administrator and all groups have ‘Allow user management through Management Console’ enabled, despite the previous value in the settings.xml ('UserManagementViaManagementConsole').

#14524 Sometimes updates from old Server versions could fail on database update stage. This issue has been resolved.
#22911 Server update with Active Directory integration could fail with ‘The user name could not be found’ error in some cases. This issue has been resolved.
#22936 Sometimes a group could see not own users, if ‘All accounts’ were selected on ‘Home’ dashboard. This issue has been resolved.
#23040 Sometimes ‘An error occurred when verifying security for the message’ could appear if server and client had a time difference. This issue has been resolved. The maximum allowed time difference between server and client is 6 hours.
#23046 When using a user search, an error ‘String was not recognized as a valid DateTime’ could occur in some cases. This issue has been resolved.
#23059 Sometimes sorting of columns did not work properly on the Home page in the Management Console. This issue has been resolved.
#23076 ‘Search’ and ‘filter’ fields were not shown in the Web Access on the Management Console. This issue has been resolved. Search and filter fields are available for UncZip, Azure and Amazon storage locations.
#23035 Replication configuration could give ‘Unhandled exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object’ error on the Management Console. This issue has been resolved.
#23085 Sometimes during adding a user to a group with existing SAL’s, 'No SAL Licenses Available' error could appear. This issue has been resolved.
#23188 ‘Account Status’ maintenance task could generate an error like ‘The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.’ This issue has been resolved.
#23246: When searching for users in the Management Console, the error 'Unhandled exception: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime' occurs
